SHM Architects is a boutique design studio founded in 2005 by David Stocker, Mark Hoesterey, and Enrique Montenegro. We believe creating beautiful places with purpose requires two things: passion and time.

Our process is rooted in an obsession with the craft, and results in personalized, luxurious designs that are always aspirational. We are passionate lifestyle curators who firmly believe time and heartfelt principles lead to beautiful, bespoke solutions. This philosophy has inspired a body of widely published and award-winning work in a variety of styles, in locations across North America. In 2019, we launched SHM’s first satellite studio in Crested Butte, Colorado reflecting our sustained commitment to servicing clients across the Mountain West region.
