About Us

Oh Be Joyful Church exists to glorify God. Everything we do, corporately or individually, serves to proclaim His name and His goodness to a broken and hurting world. We exist to bring glory to God through the ministry of reconciliation as outlined in Colossians 1:18 and 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. We long to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, to sustain a vital relationship with Him, to be used of God to bring all people into this same relationship, and to live in love and reconciliation with one another.

We were founded in 1973 in Crested Butte, a small Colorado mountain town that was once a hub of mining and is now a destination for individuals and families from throughout the world. People come to Crested Butte to retreat, to be restored. Here at Oh Be Joyful, we strive to be part of that restoration. For both residents and visitors alike, we hope to offer spiritual rest and encouragement. We long to be a place where people can share in each other’s lives, encourage one another, and join together as we all travel down the road of life.

We gather together to proclaim the name and greatness of Christ. It is Him that we serve and Him for whom we exist. Sunday morning worship starts at 9 a.m. weekly. We are located 625 Maroon Avenue, one block away from the 4-way Stop in Crested Butte.
